Hello. My name is Justin Graham; I’m manager in the equity settlement operations department of clearing services, a division of Société Générale securities services. I joined Société Générale in January 2001; I’m currently in my 9th year. Clearing securities offers out-sourcing solutions to institutional and retail clients. The service primarily covers clearing and settlement services for equity and bond transactions. I’m responsible for two teams within the department. The first is the complex market settlement team and the second is the stock-borrower lending team, and a total of 12 staff fall under my responsibility. When I joined SG in 2001 it was from previously working at a UK high street bank, which offered a securities operation, not dissimilar to where I first started my career at SG. I had the opportunity a few years ago to move to the investment bank, and more latterly into out-sourcing services. I like the diversification within the company and it has afforded me the opportunity to travel to different countries, to meet agents, to meet clients, and also to work within our Bangalore operation, through which support is offered to the London team.
