My name is Nick Corrigan. I’m a managing director and deputy head of leverage finance in the UK. My academic background is based in mathematics and psychology, given a desire to try and bridge the gap between people and numbers. Our key clients are based in private equity, and they look to buy and sell companies that offer opportunities of profitable growth, typically on a global scale. We leverage finance, provide them acquisition debt to complete these transactions, and we look to the future cash flows of those target transactions to service our debt. I’ve been at SG for 6 years, and joined as vice-president in 2003, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have been involved in a number of transactions that have generated significant fee income for the group on a consistent basis. I have no complaints concerning my accelerated career progression over this time. I was initially attracted to the bank given its enviable and long-standing track record in leverage finance, and I’m proud to say that we remain a key player in this industry today. SG understands that every team member’s opinion has validity, irrespective of their title. We look to hire intelligent, well-rounded individuals; the bank appreciates that we spend a great deal of our time at work, and therefore we must ensure that we offer the best work place possible, and as we strive for excellent results for the institution and retain the very best employees. I wish you the very best of luck at SG.
